Meritage Executive Life Coaching

FOR ORGANIZATIONS

EXECUTIVE AND TEAM COACHING

“As a result of the coaching, I feel that I am able to engage with all members of the senior management team in authentic conversations, and there has been a significant turnaround in my job satisfaction. Changes I have made in how I deal with conflict, identifying issues early, and taking responsibility for my mindset, have been noticed by my colleagues and have impacted the team in a positive way. The coaching drew me out of my shell and pushed me to recognize the critical behaviors that influenced my interactions and prevented me from contributing as effectively as I wanted. Overall, the process has had a profound impact on me, both professionally and personally.”D.M., VP Research

Team Coaching

Your organization is relying on its executive team and key functional teams to deliver results. How confident are you that these teams have what it takes to deliver in terms of alignment, shared vision and strategy, communication, focus and other key attributes of highly functioning teams?

Most executives might be quick to say “Of course!” Yet, in many cases, when we interview executives independently, the differences in beliefs about vision, strategy and purpose become abundantly clear. A deeper look reveals the damaging toll that lack of alignment, conflict or failure to address the “elephant in the room” is having on their ability to deliver.

Meritage can bring your senior team together to create a shared vision and strategy, through the use of a powerful assessment tool, team facilitation, and follow-up coaching. Our work then helps them align resources, practices, and systems in a manner that ensures focus on this vision and strategy.

We Use an Innovative Team Diagnostic™ Assessment

We utilize Team Coaching International’s proprietary methodology for coaching teams in any organizational setting. The team is guided through a five-step process that creates alignment and accountability for maximum effectiveness. Through the team coaching process, team members develop the mindset and skillset essential for creating and sustaining a fully engaged, high-performing team.

Over the course of hundreds of deployments, Team Coaching International has perfected the Team Diagnostic Assessment, a state of the art model that clearly defines the necessary strengths for sustainable, high-performing teams. The model and diagnostic are based on proven research that shows that most successful teams have the means in place to take action and they build effective relationships to motivate and sustain that action.

The Team Coaching Process

Our approach uses this unique assessment tool to generate dialogue and understanding about the strengths and opportunities faced by the team. The assessment data provides a starting point for candid discussions about how the team performs as a system, and in turn leads the team to a robust action plan for improving its functioning while delivering its objectives to the organization.

The outcomes you can expect from this process include:

  • Generate true alignment on the vision and specific outcomes the organization is pursuing

  • Constructively use conflict to co-create a better solution than any one individual leader might generate

  • Build greater trust in working relationships by addressing the underlying tensions, intent, and motivations of individual senior leaders

  • Understand the mindsets (beliefs and assumptions) that the senior team must collectively hold to drive organizational strategy and behavior

  • Have the “real” conversation that needs to happen with the team in the room, rather than remain in pretense, avoidance, and inauthenticity

  • Create a set of agreements with clear accountability and appropriate structures, as well as clarity on how the team will handle it if these agreements are not upheld (consequences to the individual, team, and organization)
